Actor Bürger Lars Dietrich came by for a last-minute wrap up and is looking forward to STURMFREI’s season premiere on Friday, 07.12.2012, at 3:50 pm. Every Monday thru Friday, Lars and lead character Lea can now be seen coping with the everyday ups and downs of teenage life. STURMFREI captures the attitudes of the 8 to 13 year-old target audience. The unique concept behind the show likewise caught the attention of the International Central Institute for Youth and Education Television (IZI). As director of the first season, Anton Riedel was invited to the IZI conference on “How Children Understand Narratives,” to discuss this topic with other experts in the field. We produced the second season, meaning we were directly involved in the entire production process, from developing the series, filming and directing, all the way to complete post-production. The countdown has begun – in less than 624 hours we will be singing carols under the Christmas tree, with 22 sleepless nights to go, until the end of the world. But anyway, there is reason for us to celebrate today. In eight days the second season of STURMFREI will premiere on the KiKA channel. But there is no second season without a first one. On November 4th 2012 the "Chicago International Children’s Film Festival" has announced that their Children’s Jury awarded the First Prize in the category “Live action Television Program” to "STURMFREI" season one. It is great to know - despite the obvious language barrier - that all these English speaking kids have been blown away by our series. Yesterday the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and the Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln (WDR) holded the 15th kurzundschön competition for young creatives. kurzundschön is a international competition for students and apprentices in the audiovisual field. We are responsible for all the design parts and also created a new trailer for the awards ceremony.
On Oktober 28th the Acadamy Cologne opens with its first congress. After winning the pitch we developed a whole new branddesign and had to do the poster campaign for this first happening called "CuttingEdge". A day with discussion about circumcision. On September 4th the WDR launched it's new children's radio programme KiRaKa. We created the new brand design including a website with loads of playful features as well as all off air communcation tools.
Global Sounds Radio –WDR Funkhaus Europa is pushing buttons when it comes to klischees on foreign nationalities: Their latest campaign KENNSTDUDENKSTDU raffles trips to four European metropolises. We shot modern still lifes on Istanbul, Rome, Athens and Barcelona to to promote this campaign on 1.200.000 free city cards all over NRW.
Kick-Off for production!
This year already started with good news. On behalf of KiKA we produce a second season of "Sturmfrei". The first season of this new comedy format shown on German KIKA was very successful and so we ´re happy to continue. This time we decided to produce the whole format all by ourselves and so things are getting started. Right now we´re close to the end of the shooting. The latest series/season will have 13 episodes with 14.5 minutes and will be broadcasted in December this year. Until then we have some sneaks from the shoot…have fun.
“Die Sendung mit der Maus” celebrates its 40th birhtday with an extra show on ARD and KI.KA. For this occasion WDR asked us to produce 3 dance clips with the theme “Hier tanzt die Maus”. We created a special choreography and went out and asked everyone to join our dancing. So…if you don´t want to miss it, watch it next sunday in ARD, 13.3. at 11am…If you like to sleep a little bit longer…our clips will be online the next day.
Oh du fröhliche...Our Opener for the Kurz und Schön festival goes around the world. Already 140.000 views at vimeo and the Norwegian channel “Nasjonalgalleriet” (The National Gallery) will screen it in their weekly television show. A programm that reports on contemporary art, fashion, design and visual culture in general. What a nice response to one of our favourite projects.
After a long time of engagement, FEEDMEE finally became serious with Hessischer Rundfunk (HR). FEEDMEE will develop a completely new design package for the German television channel. It’s planned to be launched OnAir in autumn. Have a look at our pictures from the wedding day.
FEEDMEE was honoured in the City of Angels: In addition to the accolades so far, the WDR Klangkiste an the Shocking ShortsAward Festival Opener got Promax World Awards in silver. Kikaninchen went even further and granted a Promax World Gold Award in the category Children´s Program Campaign / Animated + Mixed. Cheerio, silly season!
